Guide for CS-Cart WhatsApp Order Notification

CS-Cart WhatsApp Order Notification allows the store admin a facility to notify their customers through WhatsApp. The website users will receive notifications to their registered WhatsApp mobile number.

The customers will receive notifications on order placement, order status updates, order returns, and order completion. The store merchants can now integrate the most popular messaging service into their CS-Cart website with the help of this extension.

Note: The store admin must have a developer’s Meta (Facebook) account to use this add-on.

  • The customer will receive a notification for the order confirmation once the order gets placed.
  • Similarly, every time the user gets notified of the order status updates also.
  • To set up the module, the admin must input the token and phone number ID.
  • The business account ID, access token, and phone number ID will be generated through the Meta developers account.

Installation Process-CS-Cart WhatsApp Order Notification

When you’ll download the add-on, you get one zip file and the install.txt file. Read it carefully and follow it.

Firstly click on the icon and select Manual installation to upload the zip file as per the below screenshot.


Now, Click on “Local” to browse the zip file and then click on “Upload & Install”.


After installation of the add-on, you will find the “WhatsApp Order Notification” in the list of the available add-on. Make sure, the add-on is activated as shown in the below snapshot.

The admin will have to create an app from his Meta Developers account as shown in the screenshot.


When the admin clicks on Create App button there will be an option to select the app type as per the below image.


After that, the admin will select the details option and a popup will appear to fill in the app name, app contact email, and business account. Now, the user will have to click on Create app button.


The store admin will click on the Setup option in WhatsApp once the app will get created.


The access token, phone number id, and business account id will be displayed in the developer’s dashboard as shown in the image:



Likewise, the admin can generate a permanent token. The user must have a permanent business account to generate a permanent access token.

Configuration-CS-Cart WhatsApp Order Notification

Now, the user needs to click on the WhatsApp Order Notification Module to configure the module.

The admin has to make the below general settings to configure the module.

Phone Number id- The admin will enter the phone number id generated from the Meta developers account.

Business Account id-After that the admin will enter the business account id.

Access Token- Now, the store admin will enter the access token.


Moreover, the admin can also configure the WhatsApp message template from the developers account for order placement, status updates and order returns also.

The admin will have to enter the template name which is created in the Meta developer account.


WhatsApp Order Notification View

A notification will be sent to the customer after making the purchase each time they add an item to their shopping cart and continue to the checkout.


Similarly, the customer will get a message for status change for their placed orders.


Likewise, a customer will get a WhatsApp notification for the order return status update.
